...your help in our move from Florida was priceless. We'll highly recommend you to anyone considering a move to the Charlotte area. - Mark and Judy M.

Charlotte, North Carolina, also called the Queen city for its British Monarch’s namesake, is located in the central Carolina Piedmont region on the border of North and South Carolina.  Charlotte has a MSA population of over 1.5 million and by all accounts should continue to grow at a healthy pace.  A strong local economic engine, affordable housing, moderate climate and high standard of living all contribute to the region’s success.

Charlotte real estate options range from multi-million dollar estate homes to nice neighborhoods with affordable 4 bedroom 2 bath homes.  Townhouses and condos are also available in most price ranges – whether low rise, mid rise, high rise or master bedroom on the main level.  In order to give a better perspective to newcomers on the Charlotte NC real estate market, here is a partial list of some major neighborhoods, districts and nearby towns:

  • Uptown – Charlotte’s center city with condo, townhouse and Victorian homes
  • NoDa – Short for North Davidson Street also known as the Arts District – just east of uptown.  Gentrified mill houses and buildings house galleries, restaurants and shops.
  • Dilworth – Southwest of Uptown, upscale, highly desirable and “walkable” neighborhood.
  • Myers Park – South of Charlotte Center City, this neighborhood is considered by many to be Charlotte’s best.  Gracefully winding streets, a canopy of trees and elegant estate homes are just a few reasons you’ll love Myers Park.
  • South End – Directly south of Uptown, the South End developed as an industrial area to support the local textile trade.  It has since been redeveloped into a nice neighborhood filled with shops, restaurant and condo townhouse complexes.
  • Ballantyne – Located on the southern boundary of Charlotte on the NC SC border, Ballantyne is a mixed use development with an impressive mix of businesses and homes.
  • Southpark – 5 miles south of Uptown Charlotte, real estate in Southpark commands some the city’s highest premiums.  Southpark is Charlotte’s newsest business center with urban-like office buildings, highrise condos, established subdivisions, shops, a mall and hotels.
  • Huntersville, Cornelius and Davidson NC - Cities within Mecklenburg County and north of Charlotte.
  • Pineville, Matthews and Mint Hill NC - Cities within Mecklenburg County and south of Charlotte.
